Current Dental Student - Application Expert
I am a current dental student at Roseman University - Utah. Before dental school, I graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Biology and minor in Public Health, earning Magna Cum Laude Honors. I also began pursuing a Master of Public Health with a Dental Emphasis from A.T. Still University. I have been tutoring for over five years, helping high school and college students in subjects including Chemistry, Biology, Math, College Algebra, and English. My teaching style brings a patient and thorough approach to make the learning experience understandable and enjoyable! As someone who recently went through the dental school application process myself, I understand the challenges that come with this journey. I want to utilize the skills and knowledge I gained to support pre-dental students and help them get admitted to their top-choice for dental school! I coach because I want to make the dental school application process as comfortable as possible for pre-dental students. I understand the challenges of being a student - juggling between coursework, studying for the DAT, engaging in extracurriculars, and needing to be a well-rounded student, all while preparing dental school applications. When I went through this process, having mentors guide me along the way helped me gain the confidence I needed to succeed. I want to coach other students to pass on the knowledge I gained from my own journey to support those who are in the position that I was once in. Being a coach allows me to combine previous tutoring experiences with my passion of helping students in need. I strive to provide a broadened educational experience to my students, which is geared towards allowing pre-dental students to achieve their goals. Seeing students grow in their respective journeys is the most rewarding part of what I do.
