About Harleigh
I am a dual-degree candidate at Columbia University, pursuing an MIA at the School of International and Public Affairs and a Master of Business Administration at Columbia Business School. I came to grad school to pivot from the public sector to into finance where policy, markets, and digital innovation collide. Prior to attending Columbia, I worked in the US House of Representatives for Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer, holding roles of increasing responsibility in operations and strategic planning. Since I've been in school, I've interned at Chainalysis, a blockchain intelligence company, and most recently supported supervisory oversight of the eight largest U.S. financial institutions as an intern at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Outside of Columbia, I am a loyal consumer of reality television and I volunteer as a lacrosse coach for a high school team through the organization Harlem Lacrosse.
Why do I coach?
I coach becuase I know what it's like to go through this process wihtout a blueprint. Helping others find clarity, confidence, and momentum (especially non-traditional candidates!) gives me real energy. It's a privilege to support ambitious candidates who see a bit of their own story in mine.
