About giulio
I’m a former Amazon Hiring Manager and Head of Operations with 10+ years of international leadership experience across Amazon, Amplifon, and HelloFresh. I spent 8 years at Amazon, working across the UK, Luxembourg, and Italy in Operations, Business Development, and Program Management. During that time, I conducted 150+ interviews, served as a Hiring Manager, and gained first-hand experience of how hiring decisions are actually made — from evaluating behavioral answers to assessing whether a candidate demonstrates the right level of ownership, impact, and leadership. After Amazon, I moved into senior leadership roles at Amplifon and HelloFresh, most recently leading Operations for HelloFresh Italy. This means I’ve experienced hiring and career progression from both sides of the table: as an interviewer and hiring manager, but also as a candidate navigating competitive processes and senior career transitions myself. Alongside my corporate career, I’ve spent the past 5+ years coaching 100+ professionals, from early-career candidates to experienced managers. I specialize in Amazon and Big Tech interview preparation, behavioral and competency-based interviews, STAR storytelling, career strategy, and offer negotiation. My coaching style is practical and direct. I don't believe in memorizing perfect interview scripts. I help you identify the strongest evidence from your own experience, communicate it convincingly, and understand how the person on the other side of the table is evaluating you. I hold an MBA in International Management from ESCP Business School and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Law from the University of Genoa.
Why do I coach?
I started coaching while I was still at Amazon. After conducting so many interviews, I realized how often strong candidates struggled not because they lacked the experience, but because they didn't know how to translate that experience into evidence an interviewer could recognize. Helping someone make that connection became something I genuinely enjoyed. There is a particular satisfaction in seeing a candidate go from being unsure of their own stories to walking into an interview knowing exactly what they bring to the table — and then seeing them land the role, promotion, or compensation they were aiming for. Coaching became even more meaningful to me after experiencing an unexpected career transition myself. When HelloFresh decided to close its Italian operations, the role I had worked hard to reach disappeared for reasons completely outside my performance. It reinforced something I already believed: careers are rarely linear, and even very capable people sometimes need an outside perspective to navigate the next step. That's ultimately why I coach. I enjoy helping people turn moments of uncertainty or opportunity into something concrete — a stronger interview, a better offer, a promotion, or an entirely new direction. For me, the most rewarding message isn't simply “the interview went well.” It's “I got the offer.”
