Package Description:

The Ding Analysis is for when you’ve put your heart into an application, but the results didn’t go your way. Let’s be honest: being in this spot is incredibly tough. But a "no" today doesn't mean a "no" forever—it just means your strategy needs a precision refactor. If you're planning to take another go, you can't just submit the same materials and hope for a different result. You need to know exactly where the gaps were in your first attempt. I’m putting my Adcom hat back on to perform a forensic audit of your previous application, identifying the concerns just like I did as part of the HBS admissions board. Here is how we’ll rebuild your candidacy for a comeback: 1. The Forensic Application Audit I’ll do a top-to-bottom sweep of your entire original submission. I’m looking at your essays, your resume, your supplemental data, and (if you have them) your recommendation letters. I’ll be looking for the "why"—was the narrative inconsistent? Did the impact not land? Did you come across as ho-hum? We’re going to find the answer. 2. The "Roadmap to Yes" Report Once the audit is complete, I’ll provide you with a detailed, written breakdown of my findings. This isn't a list of mistakes; it’s a strategic set of recommendations for each section of your application. We’ll identify exactly what needs to be "boosted" to turn your profile into a must-admit for the next round. 3. The Comeback Strategy Session After you’ve reviewed the report, we’ll hop on a 30–45 minute call to map out your next moves. We’ll discuss how to address previous weaknesses, how to show growth since your last submission, and how to tell a story that proves you’ve used this time to become an even stronger candidate. The Bottom Line: Re-applying is a chess move, and your second attempt needs to show the committee that you’ve evolved. You get the perspective of someone who has actually made these "ding" or "admit" decisions. I’ll take the guesswork out of your next application and ensure you walk back into the process with a bulletproof strategy. Ready to start?

Welcome! I am a coach and advisor who genuinely enjoys helping individuals achieve their MBA admissions goals. As a former member of the MBA Admissions Board at Harvard Business School (HBS), I have firsthand knowledge of the admissions process and what it takes to build a compelling application. I've reviewed thousands of applications and completed hundreds of interviews with applicants across all backgrounds, geographies, and industries. I also have experience working with college students applying for deferred admissions (I was part of the launch and management of the HBS 2+2 Deferred Admit Program). I work as an independent MBA admissions coach, guiding clients to success at their top choice schools. Whether you need assistance with school selection, crafting your story/brand, essay/resume writing, selecting/preparing recommenders, or interview prep, I'm here to help you navigate the sometimes overwhelming and mysterious MBA admissions world. Let's connect and discuss how I can support you in reaching your goals. Rated "Leland Top 50 Coach" 2023, 2024, 2025
