About Elizabeth
My career has been anything but linear — and that’s exactly why I love coaching people who are figuring out their next steps. I started out on a medical track at Northwestern University’s Honors Program in Medical Education (a combined BA/MD program), planning to become a doctor. But along the way, I joined McKinsey & Company for a few years, and discovered how much I enjoyed solving big problems in healthcare. That path led me to serve as Director of Strategy at MassHealth, where I helped lead Massachusetts' COVID-19 response, and then to Stanford GSB, where I dove into entrepreneurship. After business school, I joined Juxtapose as an Operator in Residence and soon after co-founded Bluebird Kids Health, a pediatric healthcare startup that’s grown to 100+ employees and raised $32.5M in funding in just two years. Through all of this, I’ve realized that careers are rarely straight lines — and that’s okay. I bring firsthand experience navigating pivots, big bets, and new opportunities, and I love helping others do the same, whether that’s breaking into consulting, negotiating compensation, or launching a company. I live in Brooklyn, NYC now (after stints in Chicago, Boston, and Palo Alto), and outside of work you can usually find me hosting a dinner party, reading a good book, or chasing an epic hike on a mountains.
Why do I coach?
Coaching matters to me because I’ve seen firsthand how transformative the right guidance can be. Throughout my career, I’ve been lucky to have a few incredible mentors who were absolutely instrumental in helping me sort through what I wanted to do. One of the best pieces of advice I ever received was: “You deserve to bet on yourself and take that big leap you might be afraid to take.” That wisdom gave me the confidence to make one of the scariest and most defining choices of my life - stepping away from medical school to instead build a career in health tech and start ups. Without that push, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Now, I love helping others find their own leap. Coaching is where I bring together my experience and my love for supporting people - with energy, curiosity, and genuine excitement to see them grow. Over the years I’ve coached so many amazing folks (some twice at different companies!), and nothing makes me happier than helping someone realize their potential and go after it.
