I spent fifteen years in big tech building the systems that help people work alongside things they didn't create and don't fully trust yet. I led knowledge management and AI transformation at companies like Meta, TikTok, and Instagram, and somewhere along the way I became the person you handed something chaotic and ambiguous so it could come back as something people could actually use. Two master's degrees, a tidy-looking résumé, the whole thing. Then this past May, I was laid off. Suddenly, and to my surprise. Instead of going straight back out, I gave myself six weeks to build the things I'd only ever talked about. In that window I launched three companies, one of which sold out its first run in under 48 hours, and I ran the entire back office on an AI system I built myself, all while raising two kids under five. I'm not telling you this from the comfortable other side of the story. I'm in it right now, in real time, with the wins and the floor underneath them. That's what I bring to coaching: the current, lived version of reinventing your work when the path you were on disappears. I'm in it today, which means I remember how it feels at the very start, the fear and the thrill both.
