Description
An effective MBA application should make the connection between where you have been, why an MBA makes sense now, and where you want it to take you professionally. We’ll develop that foundation first and then use it to guide your school-specific essays (via written response or video). You’ll leave with how to communicate clear career goals, a strong rationale for why an MBA is the right next step, and essays and application responses that connect your experience, MBA goals, and what you hope to accomplish afterward.

Before our first meeting, you’ll answer detailed questions about your career progression, accomplishments, goals, MBA motivation, and key experiences. You’ll also provide your resume and, when relevant, the essay prompts for your target school. I’ll review everything in advance so our coaching time can focus on the substance of your application: where you want to go, why an MBA makes sense now, and which experiences best support your responses. As your written essays develop, I’ll help you identify opportunities for stronger specificity and reflection, and provide feedback. This is for the person asking: How do I connect my experience, career goals, and reasons for pursuing an MBA into strong application essays?

Admissions experience from the other side of the table. For 11 years, I led admissions for Kellogg's Part-Time MBA Program. Experience evaluating MBA candidates, as I personally reviewed applications, interviewed hundreds of candidates, and counseled prospective students and reapplicants. I've had a career focused on developing people. Beyond admissions, I've spent much of my career advising, mentoring, and developing students and professionals.
