About Diane
I work with clients across different career stages: from mid-career professionals looking to pivot into equity research, to early-career graduates, particularly those from STEM backgrounds. My mentees have gone on to secure highly competitive roles at leading equity research and venture capital firms. I bring over three years of hands-on experience in equity research and corporate development, spanning both large institutional and high-growth startup environments. This includes working at Goldman Sachs as well as in corporate development at a venture-backed startup with over $650M in funding. This dual perspective allows me to offer practical, market-relevant guidance grounded in how investment teams and operators actually evaluate talent. With a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from UCLA, I am especially well suited to support individuals transitioning from non-traditional backgrounds and academia. I understand the mindset shift required and help translate technical expertise into compelling, finance-ready narratives. I look forward to partnering with you to clarify your direction, articulate your strengths, and unlock your full potential!
Why do I coach?
Having successfully pivoted into equity research and corporate development, I understand first-hand the challenges of making a meaningful career transition. Time and again, I see highly capable and talented professionals undersell their skills and achievements: particularly those coming from non-traditional backgrounds or academia, where the language and expectations can be very different. My strength lies in translating your experience into clear, compelling value, and providing practical, technical guidance to help you navigate each step of the transition with confidence. The reality is that change isn’t easy, especially in today’s economic environment. But it is never too late to take ownership of your career direction. I’m here to be your coach, advocate, and partner as you move toward the next chapter with clarity and purpose.
