You got into an amazing MBA program β congrats! π But now the real work begins. Pursuing an MBA is a costly endeavor financially and in terms of opportunity cost, so it's critical that you maximize your ROI by being intentional with your decisions. Between great classes, student clubs, research opportunities with faculty, and relationship building with amazing peers, the truth about MBA programs is that you *cannot* do it all. Ruthless prioritization is a success enabler β particularly if you front-load your reflection and introspection so that you can have your priorities straight when you start. That's what this package is all about: setting you up to hit the ground running, not running to keep up. ** This package includes three distinct meetings: ** 1οΈβ£ High-level opportunity mapping, where we'll identify as many possible ways for you to maximize your ROI. You'll leave this session with homework, but I promise it'll be homework you love β getting familiar with the school you're about to join and thinking hard about your values and goals. 2οΈβ£ In our second session, we'll take your initial priorities and start plotting them on a ~3 year timeline. We'll strategize on what sorts of classes to anchor on β and on whether academics should be a priority for you at all. We'll connect your career goals to each semester/quarter in your program. In doing so, I'll help you see just how many hypotheses you can test in a limited amount of time. We'll also set specific and measurable goals for your pre-MBA preparation, which might involve advancing your quant skills, taking on a pre-MBA internship, or already tapping into your alumni network. You'll leave this session with a sense of calm, knowing that while your priorities and plans will undoubtedly shift, you're entering your program with an intention. Unlike your peers, it won't take the entire fall term just to figure out what the hell you're doing! 3οΈβ£ Our third session will take place *during* the start of your MBA program. This is critical because we want to allow some time to acclimate to student life and to test initial hypotheses. It's highly possible that you'll learn things in your core classes that challenge your assumptions β this session ensures that you're not left with a strategy that no longer feels right to you. This session is also used in a more tactical way to troubleshoot challenges you may be facing interpersonally, with academics, etc.
As an MBA admit, you'll get expert help to maximize your ROI by setting clear priorities and strategies before starting their program.
The plan emphasizes the importance of ruthless prioritization and intentional decision-making to navigate the myriad opportunities in an MBA program.
Our three sessions will focus on opportunity mapping, timeline strategizing, and in-program adjustments to ensure alignment with your personal and career goals.

βοΈ MBA coach for non-technical candidates pursuing technical career paths
I take a highly supportive approach to coaching and aim to create an environment in which my clients can be completely open about their worries so I can be the best possible coach for them. That said, you can expect me to be constructively candid β because coaching is about challenging you and accelerating your growth, not making you feel good so I can collect a check. In addition to sitting on both Stanford's and Northwestern's alumni admissions councils, I was an interviewer at Google and Facebook, so I've spent many hours "on the other side of the table" and can give you a strong sense for how you might be perceived by interviewers and admissions committees. I enjoy coaching people from a huge range of backgrounds, but I specialize in coaching folks from lower-income families, LGBTQ+ candidates, and those from unconventional backgrounds trying to thrive in tech.
