I would make a strong coach for students applying to dental school because I understand the admissions process from both the applicant and evaluator perspectives. As a member of the student admissions committee at HSDM, I have reviewed applications, interviewed candidates, and participated in discussions regarding admissions decisions. This experience has given me insight into what distinguishes strong applicants beyond grades and test scores—such as clarity of motivation, professionalism, depth of experience, and the ability to reflect meaningfully. In addition, through two years of mentoring pre-dental students one-on-one and delivering presentations on the application process, I have helped students translate their experiences into compelling narratives and approach interviews with confidence. I am able to provide honest, strategic guidance grounded in firsthand knowledge of how admissions committees think and evaluate candidates.

About Claudia
I am a dental student at HSDM and a member of the Student Admissions Committee, where I review applications, interview candidates, and participate in discussions about admissions decisions. Through this role, I’ve gained firsthand insight into what truly makes an applicant stand out beyond grades and test scores—clarity of motivation, strong communication skills, meaningful experiences, and the ability to reflect thoughtfully. In addition to my admissions work, I’ve spent two years mentoring pre-dental students one-on-one and leading presentations on the dental school application process. I’m passionate about helping students approach the application cycle strategically, strengthen their personal narratives, and present themselves as confident, authentic, and competitive candidates.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I know how difficult the dental journey can feel without clear guidance. Early on, I had to navigate many steps—course planning, extracurriculars, the DAT, applications—largely on my own, and it often felt overwhelming and uncertain. When I finally gained access to strong mentorship, everything became more strategic and manageable. I understood what to prioritize, how to position my experiences, and how to move forward with confidence. However, I also realized that high-quality guidance is often expensive and not accessible to everyone. I coach because I want to bridge that gap—providing honest, strategic mentorship at an accessible price so students can maximize their potential and pursue dentistry with clarity and confidence.

As an Admissions Ambassador at HSDM, I serve as a representative of the school for prospective students throughout the application cycle. I connect with applicants to share insight into the academic, clinical, and community aspects of the program, answer questions about student life, and provide an honest perspective on navigating dental school. Through interview days, panels, and outreach events, I help create a welcoming and transparent experience for candidates while supporting the admissions team in showcasing the values and culture of HSDM.
