I have deferred admission to Harvard Law School, where I will begin studying in 2024. When applying to law schools, I heavily consulted peers, current law students, professors, and admissions officers to refine my own strategy. I will bring my learnings from personal experience and my network to a coaching relationship. In particular, I will help candidates figure out how to make themselves stand out from the tens of thousands of applicants to top law school programs, by highlighting their experiences, passions, and personalities in a way that will stick with the admissions committee.

About Cian

2023 LELAND TOP COACH | INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS | SR ASC MCK MIDDLE EAST | I graduated from Columbia undergrad in 2019, then spent the next three years as a consultant at McKinsey in NYC. In 2022, I was named a Schwarzman Scholar and went to Tsinghua University in Beijing where I received my Master's in Global Affairs. This February, I moved to Saudi Arabia to return to McKinsey as a Senior Associate before I enroll at Harvard Law School in 2025 where I am a deferred admit. I love working with folks from around the world (I've lived in five countries and will make it six in 2024). I am passionate about using basketball to connect with people across different cultures, finding the best restaurants in whichever city I am in, and inclusive, sustainable economic development. I'm super excited to support the next generation of leaders as they prepare for academic and professional careers that will create a positive impact in the world!

Why do I coach?

I love working with people who are motivated to improve their skills and position themselves to lead. Growing up, I was passionate about academic and professional achievement -- my parents played an important part inspiring me to launch myself into the echelons of universities and other institutions that influence the way our world works: from policy, to politics, to the economy, to innovation. But, I didn't have role models who had the familiarity with how these places worked (and how to break into them) that so many of my peers did. I want to level the playing field by sharing my institutional knowledge, skills, and passion with others looking to achieve at the highest levels.
