About Christopher
After earning a degree in Biochemistry at UC Davis, I went on to work as a researcher at the National Institutes of Health. I am an MD/PhD student at Stanford Medicine, where I am currently getting a PhD in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine. My clinical interests include dermatology. Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy health and fitness and surfing along the Santa Cruz coasts.
Why do I coach?
I'm incredibly grateful for the chance to share my journey with you. The significance of coaching to me is deeply rooted in my own life experiences. From the moment a teacher told me I wouldn't succeed, I wrestled with self-doubt. My early struggles in middle school, a misdiagnosis of a learning disability shook my confidence. This led me down a challenging path during middle school. However, the pivotal moment came when a dedicated educator instilled hope and a sense of belonging in me. His support enabled me to believe in my potential. I turned my biggest challenge in academia into a point of strength. These experiences have driven my determination to excel, allowing me to achieve admission to Stanford Medical School's MD/PhD program. Coaching matters to me because I've witnessed the transformative power of mentorship and support, and I want to help others navigate their unique journeys just as I've navigated mine.
