Cannon’s Blockchain & Crypto Qualifications
Experience level: Associate
I got into blockchain early and have spent the past few years building real products in the Web3 space. At Nerd United, I became the go-to for NFTs, leading the development of an NFT marketplace and integrating Ethereum smart contracts into our platform. Along the way, I worked on scaling infrastructure with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, so I know how to bridge the gap between experimental Web3 ideas and production-ready systems. If you’re looking to understand blockchain fundamentals, launch a project on Ethereum, or explore how NFTs and Web3 applications fit into the bigger tech ecosystem, I’d love to help you get there.

About Cannon
My passion for computers can be traced back to my childhood playing one of my favorite video games: RollerCoaster Tycoon. That soon evolved into an interest in learning about software and computer programming until I finally started doing it myself in elementary school. Today that love continues to grow as I work as a full-stack software engineer at Leland, a platform built around a mission I find genuinely exciting: helping people access the expertise that can change their lives. A big part of how I contribute to that mission is through AI — I've worked it into basically every stage of development, and there's something that feels really fitting about using a technology that democratizes knowledge to help build a product that does the same thing for people. Before joining Leland, I graduated from BYU and completed the Marriott School of Business's Sandbox Program, where I worked with a team to try to build a software company from the ground up. It's one of those experiences that teaches you things no classroom really can. When I'm not heads down on a project, you can find me outside moving at something close to dangerous speeds. Unlike most people, I prefer to admire nature when I'm rocketing through Provo Canyon on my Ducati or bombing the black diamonds at Utah's ski resorts.
