About Cameron
My journey into venture capital is built on a foundation of seeing the startup ecosystem from every critical angle, starting with deep financial training in Investment Analysis at Morgan Stanley, where I mastered the fundamentals of finance and portfolio structuring. I then stepped out of the bank and into the start-up trenches with Sentieo (acquired by AlphaSense), a FinTech startup, leading business development to understand intimately the grit required to scale a product and drive early-stage growth. Following business school, I returned to Morgan Stanley as an Investment Banking Associate, where I sharpened my ability to identify enduring value in complex markets, bridging the gap between raw innovation and institutional execution. Today, I leverage this dual perspective—combining the discipline of a banker with the empathy of an operator—to be more than just a check-writer, but a strategic partner who understands exactly what it takes to build a category-defining company.
Why do I coach?
Throughout my career, I’ve often been one of the few people in the room who look like me, and I know that talent is equally distributed, even if opportunity is not. I choose to coach because I want to send the elevator back down, ensuring that the next generation of VCs is as diverse as the founders they will one day fund. Championing equity is about more than advocacy; it is about mentorship and providing the tactical roadmap for others to succeed. I am here to ensure that aspiring investors from all backgrounds have the guidance they need to break through the noise and drive the industry forward.
