My name is Caleb Choi and I have 4 years of experience in the healthcare administration industry. Prior to this experience, I received my Master in Health Administration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Since beginning my professional career, I have been a consistent mentor figure for not only graduate students entering the healthcare industry, but also undergraduate students making decisions on the next steps of their career. Students and early careerists I have coached have gone on to work for consulting firms such as HealthScape Advisors, Lockton Companies and more, along with academic healthcare systems such as the UChicago Health, Northwestern Medicine, and Cincinnati Children's Hospital. I believe in a coaching philosophy focused on developing soft skills that are transferable across different roles and industries to enhance relationship building and interpersonal communication.

About Caleb
My name is Caleb Choi and I am an Improvement Consultant at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. I have been in this position for nearly 3 years and received my Master in Health Administration prior to that from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I have experience in coaching undergraduate students seeking admission into healthcare-related graduate programs, graduate students beginning the internship or job search process, and early careerists looking for guidance on career goals and aspirations. I have a structured framework focused on refining existing skills and goal-setting to support getting you to where you want to be. Clients I have worked with in the past have gone on to get into programs such as Rush University, and organizations such as Northwestern Medicine, Cincinnati Children's Hospital, UChicago Medicine and more.
Why do I coach?
Coaching matters to myself because I lacked having any coaches early in my career and looking back, I realize how impactful a coach/mentor would have been in my career. Providing support to people who were in the same exact position I was in just a few years ago as an inexperienced and confused healthcare early careerist is something I have always had a passion for and it's been more fulfilling than I could have imagined. After doing this for 2-3 years, guiding clients to success because of my learnings is one of the best feelings there is and I'm excited to continue this! Finding a coach/mentor can be a daunting and overwhelming task so I am here to make that process as seamless and comfortable as possible. Coaching a two-way street so I always find I benefit off this process just as much as you do. Take that leap and reach out to me as a coach - you will not regret it!
