About Brett
I'm Brett Greene, an ADHD coach for tech professionals, founder, and someone who spent years wondering why I could build a 60,000-member tech community but couldn't remember where I put my keys. I hold a Masters degree in clinical and counseling psychology, an ICF PCC credential, and I've spent nearly 20 years coaching founders, executives, and tech professionals. Many of them are from Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Y Combinator, and Techstars. I'm also the founder of New Tech Northwest, one of the largest tech communities in the Pacific Northwest. But the most relevant credential I bring to every session? I have ADHD myself. That's not a liability. It's the whole point. Most of my clients come to me after years of feeling like they're broken becasue everyone else got a manual they never received. They're smart, capable, and creative, but traditional productivity systems keep failing them. That's not a character flaw. That's a square peg being hammered into a round hole. My coaching reframes ADHD as a different operating system, not a defective one. We work together to build systems, structures, and strategies that actually fit your brain so you can lead with your strengths instead of spending all your energy compensating for your differences. I work with tech founders, startup leaders, and ambitious professionals who are ready to stop white-knuckling their way through work and start building something sustainable. Sessions are direct, practical, and grounded in both neuroscience and real-world experience. Why do I coach?
I coach because I was the person who needed this coach and couldn't find one. I spent years being smart enough to see exactly what I needed to do, and reliably unable to do tasks that aren't interesting, creative, novel or urgent. I'd build something remarkable, then lose three weeks to paralysis on a thing that should have taken an afternoon. I thought the problem was discipline. Willpower. Character. It wasn't. It was neurology. When I finally understood how my brain actually worked as a genuinely different operating system everything changed. Not overnight, and not perfectly. But the self-blame started to lift. The systems started to stick. The work got lighter. I coach because that shift shouldn't be as rare as it is. I've spent nearly 20 years coaching founders, executives, and tech professionals who are quietly exhausted from trying to operate like people they're not. Some have ADHD and many are neurotypical, but needed professional coaching to grow in their careers. They're often the most smart, creative, driven, and capable people in the room and also the most convinced something is fundamentally wrong with them. Nothing is wrong with them. They just need a different map from typical basic systems for organizing, planning, and communicating effectively in the workplace. I also coach because building New Tech Northwest taught me that community and connection are where real change happens. Coaching is just that, bridging the gaps between where you are and where you want be one person at a time. Where are you now? Where do you want to be? What's missing? What's in the way?
