About Brandi

I coach emerging and next-generation leaders through the moments where career growth starts requiring a different version of them. For 15+ years, I have worked across employee experience, talent development, people strategy, recruiting, finance, and leadership programs at The Walt Disney Company and NBCUniversal. My work has centered on helping people and organizations improve the way work actually feels, especially during moments of transition, growth, and pressure. Today, I run my own practice specializing in employee experience and next-generation leadership, with a focus on helping people prepare for, step into, and grow through the first few years of leading others. This stage can be incredibly formative. It's where people begin moving from being responsible for their own performance to being responsible for communication, trust, expectations, feedback, decision-making, team dynamics, and the experience others have at work because of them. My coaching is grounded in practical leadership development, employee experience strategy, and real-world organizational behavior. I help clients make sense of the situations that don't always show up in a leadership book: the direct report who needs more structure, the senior leader who gives vague feedback, the conversation you are avoiding, the team dynamic that feels off, the pressure to be liked and respected, and the fear that you are supposed to know how to handle all of it already. My approach is thoughtful, direct, and highly practical. I ask questions that help clients get underneath the obvious problem and identify what is really happening. From there, we build language, decisions, and next steps that feel clear, usable, and aligned with the kind of leader they want to become. I have supported thousands of employees and leaders across complex organizations, and I bring that pattern recognition into every coaching conversation. I understand the business side of leadership, but I also understand the human side: the self-doubt, the overthinking, the pressure, the identity shift, and the desire to lead well without losing yourself. I work best with people who are ambitious, reflective, and ready to grow, but who want practical support instead of generic advice. My goal is to help clients become more grounded, more confident, and more effective in the moments that will shape their leadership reputation for years to come.

Why do I coach?

I coach because the early years of leadership shape everything that comes after. Most people are promoted into leadership because they were strong individual contributors. They know how to execute, solve problems, communicate, and deliver. But leading people requires a different skill set. Suddenly, success is not just about the quality of your own work. It's about how clearly you set expectations, how honestly you communicate, how you handle conflict, how you support growth, how you make decisions, and how people experience your leadership when things are not easy. Too often, people are expected to figure all of that out alone. I do this work because I believe new and emerging leaders deserve better than trial by fire. They deserve a place to pause, think, ask the uncomfortable question, practice the hard conversation, and understand what is happening beneath the surface before reacting to it. I firmly believe the leaders of the future will know how to operate with courage, empathy, and accountability at the same time. They will care about people without avoiding hard conversations. They will hold standards without becoming cold. And they will understand and appreciate that the way people experience their leadership matters, because people remember the manager who made them feel capable, trusted, and clear just as much as they remember the one who made work feel harder than it had to be. The leaders I love working with are not trying to become perfect. They desire to be more grounded, more capable, and more honest. They care about doing good work and treating people well. They want to be respected without becoming detached. They want to be kind without becoming a pushover. They want to grow without performing some fake version of leadership that doesn't feel like them. That's the work I care about. I coach because the next generation of leaders will shape the future employee experience. And if we want better workplaces, we need better-supported leaders much earlier in their journey.

THE EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE EDIT

January 2026 - Present

Happy employees are an excellent business strategy and getting there takes more than good intentions. I founded The Employee Experience Edit after spending years inside some of the most complex organizations in the world, including The Walt Disney Company and NBCUniversal, where I led employee experience initiatives across the full employee lifecycle. I also partnered with smaller professional services firms navigating growth and scale. Across every environment, I saw the same pattern: well-intentioned programs built in isolation, managers promoted without preparation, and people left to figure it out on their own. Every organization deserves better than that. The Employee Experience Edit is a boutique advisory practice for SMBs, HR professionals, and people leaders who see a decline in engagement , performance, and retention, and need a trusted partner to help them fix it. I audit the full employee lifecycle, close the distance between what leadership thinks is happening and what employees are actually experiencing, and build the conditions where people are supported, managers are prepared, and performance becomes sustainable. Here's what I do: → Custom Advisory for Small & Mid-sized Business Owners/Executives, HR Practitioners, People Leaders & Corporate Professionals → Employee Experience Audits & Strategic Risk Overviews → Manager Readiness Training → Speaking Engagements If something's not working in your workplace, I'd love to hear about it. I offer a complimentary intro call because sometimes the most valuable thing is just having someone in your corner who gets it.
