About Austin

Hello I'm Austin and thanks for checking out my coaching profile! MBA Admissions is a daunting process and I've lived through the stress and challenges associated with applying. Were it not for the excellent leadership I received from great coaches, there's no way I would have made it. Following a successful career as an Army Helicopter Pilot, I'm currently an MBA 2 at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. I interned with McKinsey and Company as an Associate Summer Consultant and will be returning there full time this fall. A bit more about me: I'm a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point where I served as the Cadet First Captain, the highest ranking Cadet at West Point responsible for the entire Brigade of 4,400 individuals. After that, I served as a Helicopter Pilot in the United States Army with myriad leadership experiences at the junior officer level. I'm also an Emergency Medical Technician and I've volunteered on a number of ambulance services (including at Stanford). In my free time, I enjoy flying my Stanford Classmates on aerial tours of the Bay Area - it's the best way to see one of the most gorgeous coastlines in the world! I decided at the last minute to apply to an MBA in 2020 when I knew I'd be leaving the Army. I selected seven schools in Round 3: Stanford GSB, Wharton, Booth, Kellogg, Haas, Yale SOM and Columbia. I was fortunate to be accepted to all seven of these wonderful programs so I can speak in depth about their admissions processes. Once at the Stanford GSB, I decided that I wanted to pursue consulting and I went through the MBB recruiting processes. I was fortunate to be cross-offered and ultimately selected to join McKinsey for my summer internship and signed a subsequent full-time offer to return. As an experienced aviator, I know how important it is to have a great wingman. I'm here to help and I will be by your side every step of the way. Whether it's MBA admissions, learning to ace an interview, consulting recruiting or even leadership/personal coaching, I will make sure you're ready for the mission!
