Work Experience
Postdoctoral Research Scientist
Columbia University in the City of New York
September 2023 - Present
My postdoctoral work focuses on powering energy-intensive decarbonization technologies, such as green hydrogen and carbon capture, with excess energy on the New York State grid that would otherwise be wasted. I model optimal renewable energy and battery capacity to cost-effectively meet state goals while reducing emissions.
Research Manager
The Solutions Project
September 2017 - June 2023
Led a team of 70+ researchers creating roadmaps to achieve 100% wind-water-solar energy for cities, states, and countries around the world by 2050. Responsible for managing research, infographic and website development, and outreach efforts. Published articles to inform policymakers transitioning 16 U.S. states to renewable energy, including the research groundwork leading to SB 100 in California, the Climate Act in New York, and the Green New Deal.
Education
Stanford University
Doctor of Philosophy – PhD, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Atmosphere/Energy Program
2018 - 2023
My PhD focused on quantifying the potential for wind farm siting across the U.S. and India, and developing renewable energy roadmaps. My research has led to collaborations with international renewable energy developers to accelerate wind deployment, and informed policymakers transitioning 16 U.S. states to renewable energy, including the research groundwork leading to SB 100 in California, the Climate Act in New York, and the Green New Deal. Fellowships and leadership roles: TomKat Center Graduate Fellow in Sustainable Energy, Leavell Fellowship on Sustainable Built Environment, Stanford King Center on Global Development Graduate Student Fellowship, Solutions Project Research Leader, Stanford Austria Club President, TA for 100% Clean, Renewable Energy and Storage for Everything, TA for Air Pollution and Global Warming: History, Science, and Solutions, TA for Human Exposure Analysis
Stanford University
Master of Science – MS, Civil and Environmental Engineering-Atmosphere/Energy
2017 - 2019
Leadership roles: Solutions Project Research Leader, Stanford Energy Club Policy Community Co-Lead, Atmosphere/Energy Program Events Planning Committee

Cornell University
Bachelors of Science – BS, Biological Engineering, Environmental Concentration
2013 - 2017
Leadership roles and activities: Institute of Biological Engineering President, Cornell University Sustainable Design Project Team, TA for Our Changing Atmosphere: Global Change and Atmospheric Chemistry, German Club President, CU Empower Mentor, Cornell Astronomical Society, Cornell Swing Dance Club
