Over the course of my 18-year hedge fund career, I have had the opportunity to mentor and develop several high potential associates, analysts, and managers. This included detailed development work and training in fundamental analysis to performance coaching oriented toward decision making. Alongside these "hard skills," I helped my mentees navigate the complex and rapidly-evolving hedge fund landscape as they launched new ventures, negotiated salaries, and succeeded within firms with varying cultures. My experience spans single manager funds, multi-manager funds, and new launches, and I have worked with team mates at all experience levels: new college graduates, investment banking analysts, and private equity associates who were breaking into the industry to 20-year veterans what were leveling-up to managerial roles. I am proud to say that I maintain a close mentorship relationship with all of the investors who worked on my team, and career development is the most fulfilling dimension of my career. They have all gone on to be very successful in the industry as well! I look forward to coaching and mentoring for the rest of my career, and I hope to expand the impact that I have on the rising stars of the hedge fund industry.
