I bring a rare combination of real Wall Street experience, elite academic training, and practical coaching ability to investment banking prep. I am a CFA charterholder, Columbia Business School MBA, West Point graduate, former private equity and hedge fund investor, and current public-company board director. I have worked across capital markets, M&A, private equity, distressed/special situations, and corporate advisory, so I help students understand not just the technical answers, but how bankers, investors, and deal teams actually think. I previously tutored with Kaplan and The Princeton Review, and my coaching style is structured, direct, and practical: we diagnose gaps, build technical fluency, sharpen behavioral answers, and practice until you can communicate clearly under pressure. Whether you are preparing for investment banking interviews, private equity recruiting, stock pitches, technical finance questions, or career transitions into finance, I can help you sound more polished, more confident, and more commercially credible.

About Andrew
My background is a combination of military leadership, institutional finance, entrepreneurship, and coaching. I graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, served as an Army officer, earned my MBA from Columbia Business School, and became a CFA charterholder. Professionally, I have worked across investment banking, hedge funds, private equity, family office investing, capital markets, and public-company board service. I have also founded and built businesses, advised companies, raised capital, evaluated investments, and worked with executives, entrepreneurs, investors, and students at different stages of their careers.
Why do I coach?
coach because I enjoy helping talented people turn ambition into practical progress. Early in my career, tutoring for Kaplan and The Princeton Review taught me how powerful the right explanation, structure, and encouragement can be. Since then, I have mentored students, professionals, founders, and finance candidates who needed help clarifying their goals, strengthening their skills, and communicating with more confidence. My coaching style is direct, practical, and supportive. I do not believe in generic advice. I try to understand where someone is starting, what they are trying to achieve, and what is blocking them. Then we build a clear plan, strengthen the fundamentals, practice the hard parts, and connect the work to real-world outcomes. Whether I am coaching finance, private equity, asset management, CFA preparation, AI for business, or career development, my goal is the same: help clients think more clearly, perform better under pressure, and move closer to the opportunity they want.
