About Andrew
Engineering -> MBB -> Private Equity Operations. I've worked in multiple industries, trying to find where my interests are aligned and along the way mastered the techniques to get offers for each. As a structural engineer at Gulfstream, I experienced the technical day to day as a individual contributor, but never felt challenged or had a view of the bigger picture. This brought me to consider consulting or an MBA to pivot my career, take the GMAT, and eventually network my way to an experienced hire interview and job at McKinsey with an offer from Bain. At McKinsey, I was a part of the operations group, focusing on value creation and cost savings opportunities within multiple different industries. As I was transitioning to Engagement Manager, I decided to exit for a better travel schedule and landed at Accel-KKR doing portfolio operations for software companies. I help create value within our portfolio companies by growing revenue and EBITDA. It's essentially in-house consulting resources for our companies, allowing me to continue doing what I love.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I struggled to find a career that brought me satisfaction and experienced the difficulty in breaking into consulting and private equity. However, I realized the process can be learned and mastered - and I want to share that with others in a more formal manner! If you can land an interview, the rest is just practice and technique. Let's chat about how to get you there.
