About Alice

Hi, I'm Alice! I have experience writing and editing essays, resumes, and applications. I've worked one-on-one with students as a mentor and in college prep, and would love to help you on your journey preparing your college application. In 2019, I graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and minors in Journalism and Humanistic Studies. My senior thesis, which was part philosophy and part journalism, was awarded the McCosh Prize for the best undergraduate thesis in any area of philosophy. At Princeton, I did extensive audio journalism, travel, and art, including illustration and design for the weekly newspaper. I'm now working part-time towards my Master of Public Administration in Sustainability at Middlebury Institute of International Studies. Since graduating, I've lived in both Chicago and New York to work in impact, housing, and community development finance. I spent two years with Crimson Education to help students find a balanced spread of extracurricular activities, create leadership projects, and pursue reading and enrichment studies to suit their particular academic interests. I also serve as a mentor for recent Princeton graduates and current students working in public service and have interviewed high school students applying to Princeton as a volunteer for the Alumni Schools Committee.

Why do I coach?

I love working one-on-one with students to help them articulate their passions, strengths, and background through clear and compelling writing. I'm skilled at helping others find the narrative thread in their story, and treat others' writing with care. I'm a thorough and supportive editor who is committed to helping you find your voice and tell your story in college applications. Please reach out if you might like to work together on applications and essays!
