About Alexis
I'm a Harvard Business School MBA, former Wall Street trader, founder, and lifelong believer that great opportunities rarely go to the most qualified person on paper. They go to the person who knows how to tell a compelling story about who they are, what they've done, and where they're headed. As a first-generation Nigerian American, Division I athlete, and one of very few women in a highly technical trading role, I've spent my career breaking into spaces where I wasn't the obvious candidate. Along the way, I've learned how to identify what makes someone stand out, position their experiences strategically, and build the confidence to own their story. I've recruited for some of the most competitive firms and opportunities in business and finance, including Wall Street, consulting, and Harvard Business School, but most importantly, I've spent years mentoring students, career switchers, and aspiring founders through pivotal transitions of their own. My coaching style is direct, strategic, and highly personalized and I'll help you uncover the unique combination of experiences, motivations, and strengths that make you memorable. Whether you're applying to business school, navigating a career pivot, recruiting for consulting or finance, or exploring the founder path, my goal is to help you tell a story that feels authentic, differentiated, and impossible to ignore.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I know how much the right guidance can change a trajectory. I didn't grow up with a roadmap to Wall Street, Harvard Business School, or entrepreneurship. As a first-generation Nigerian American, I had to learn the unwritten rules, seek out mentors, and figure out how to compete in rooms where I wasn't always the obvious candidate. Along the way, I was fortunate to have people who challenged me, pushed me to think bigger, and helped me see strengths and opportunities I couldn't always see for myself. Their guidance opened doors that changed my life. The most talented people are often those who struggle to see what makes them exceptional. My favorite part of coaching is helping someone uncover their unique story, build confidence in it, and communicate it in a way that resonates with admissions committees, recruiters, and hiring managers.
