My favorite AP tests are the Micro and Macro. I have been teaching this combination of tests since 2020. Having trained as an economist and attained my Master's in Economics from USC, I believe knowledge of economics is vital to every citizen-consumer; and being a proponent of this subject makes me an especially passionate tutor in this subject. I promise to break down the material visually with real life examples that will make this often dry topic come alive. I've studied most of the recent practice exams, multiple choice and free response, so I can narrow down which knowledge is most essential, and how to strategically approach any question.

About Alex

I've been in love with standardized tests since I saw my first Scantron! I scored in the 95th percentile in high school and was admitted to the University of Pennsylvania. I studied Economics there. I also studied in London, at the LSE, and in LA, at LMU and USC, from where I where I hold my Economics Master's. Economics is the subject I teach most besides the 1000s of test prep clients I've tutored over the past 10 years, at my own shop, and with two LA boutiques, plus the mainstay Kaplan. I've mastered the ACT and SAT, as well as the GRE and the LSAT.

Why do I coach?

Whether you call it coaching or mentoring or even tutoring, the master-acolyte relationship is central to my life. I treat many of my personal relationships that way, using them as opportunities to become smarter and richer. I look to my parents as coaches, as well as former employers or bosses and friends as mentors. With the wealth of experience, 1000s of clients, 1000000s of hours, I will be able to instill the confidence that you seek while challenging you in order to reach your goal.
