About Alejandro
The deferred MBA at a top-tier institution, which I ultimately secured at MIT Sloan, is a powerful strategic tool that grants guaranteed optionality and allows for accelerated risk-taking early in one's career. Its core value is in securing a future seat at an elite program early, thereby removing the stress and uncertainty of applying later when professional demands are highest. I pursued this process to solidify my professional path and gain the freedom to optimize my early career trajectory. I was looking to confirm a future professional springboard that would allow me to maximize my growth and focus fully on acquiring a specific, high-value toolkit in my chosen sector, free from the pressure of building a "safe" resume.
Why do I coach?
My decision to coach is based on my own experience with the deferred MBA application, which was mostly a self-guided process. I didn't have extensive formal mentorship or coaching to navigate the challenges of the deferred application. Successfully gaining admission required a lot of self-research, planning, and effort to turn my diverse experiences, from working on the Amazon Energy portfolio to my background in Environmental Studies and Computer Science, into a compelling story. This is exactly why I am committed to coaching. I aim to make the process less difficult and easier to understand for younger individuals with high potential. I want to help others avoid starting from zero. Coaching provides that external, knowledgeable perspective to help you translate your unique achievements, leadership experiences, and goals into a successful application. I coach to help you build your future options, so you can focus on growing during your pre-MBA years without constantly stressing about the application cycle.
