About Alejandro
A bit about me (at work): -> Close to 10 years of product experience, with a focus on ML/AI powered products -> Built products at both fast-growing startups and Big Tech (Adobe, Square) -> Bootstrapped my last startup as a solo-founder to 6 figure revenue in ~ 6 months -> Led full-time teams of program managers (4) and several dozen contractors -> Won a company-wide hackathon at Square by building a competitive intel agent and got to pitch it to Jack Dorsey 1-1 And me outside of work: -> Play competitive beach volleyball -> Love organizing gatherings (e.g. built the community of ML/AI founders in Miami, Spark or hosted a murder mystery last Halloween) -> From NYC, grew up in Spain, went to undergrad in England, and now live between Miami/NYC
Why do I coach?
Coaching is one of the most underrated growth levers I’ve found. I’ve coached over 50 people over the past several years. My main areas of focus are: 1. Breaking into product 2. Preparing for business school 3. Getting into startups or starting your own 4. Navigating career plateaus, motivation dips, and feeling stuck My approach is 80/20: 80% asking probing questions to help you think clearly and find what feels right, and 20% sharing my perspective and advice. I love working with people who are genuinely curious, want to understand themselves better, and value the impact coaching can have. Choosing a coach isn’t easy, and I think it’s important that we both feel genuinely excited about working together. That’s hard to determine in 15 minutes, so if we both feel good after the intro call, I’ll offer one complimentary 30-minute session. That way we can get a real feel for how we work together before deciding to move forward.
