About Albert

Meet Albert Choi, a Harvard MBA, Princeton Classics scholar, and lifelong coach who’s helped students gain admission to top schools including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, UChicago, and Dartmouth. Albert has been coaching since he was 15 years old—and brings a rare mix of academic rigor, real-world leadership, and deep empathy to the college admissions process. In addition to undergraduate coaching, he has guided students through highly competitive graduate school admissions—supporting applicants from crafting personal narratives to preparing for the GMAT and GRE—with successful admits to programs including Harvard Business School, Stanford GSB, Yale Law School, Harvard Law School, and Harvard Kennedy School. Albert graduated early cum laude (top 5% of his class) from Phillips Exeter Academy, where he won top prizes in Latin and Ancient Greek. At Princeton, he became the first student to graduate with a major in Classics and a minor in Finance, writing his thesis on ancient Roman banking systems. He served as President of Business Today, the country’s leading undergraduate business publication and non-profit, where he managed a $750K budget, and pitched to 100+ top executives including Steve Forbes and Wendy Kopp. Albert began his professional career at Deloitte Consulting, where he worked on growth strategy and performance measurement projects across Washington, D.C. and the Middle East. He led innovation workshops for senior officials at the World Bank and collaborated with a design team to make veterans’ benefits communications more accessible through human-centered design. He later became the youngest Director at CityBridge Education, where he launched CityBridge Ventures, startup incubator for education entrepreneurs. He was also tapped by the D.C. Deputy Mayor to support local colleges and HBCUs during COVID-19. After earning his MBA from Harvard Business School, Albert carved out a creative, global career. He’s helped launch a vineyard in Argentina, written business cases on media and tech for Harvard’s Vice Provost, tutored a custom course on Ancient Roman economics, and coached senior Japanese executives on English and business storytelling. He is building out a similar coaching program for South Korean executives, and on the side works on his passion project, a restaurant concierge app. Albert’s students say he makes the daunting feel doable. He’s especially skilled at helping students with non-traditional backgrounds shape their narratives—whether they’re writing personal essays, preparing for interviews, or just figuring out what makes them them. When he’s not coaching, Albert can usually be found cooking for friends or reading Vergil—in the original Latin, of course.
