Hello! I'm Mervi, a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, where I work on tech, consumer / retail, and private equity due diligences. My journey in consulting began with a summer internship at L.E.K. Consulting, and currently am a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain. I've been passionate about helping others break into this competitive field and am an active member of the UC Berkeley recruiting team, helping with on-campus recruitment and resume selection. In the fall, I will be starting my MBA at the Wharton School of Business, so also happy to speak and provide guidance on those looking to get their MBA as I have recently gone through the process myself. I've successfully coached 5+ individuals, guiding them through the intricacies of the consulting application process, including case interviews and resume review. Throughout my time at Accenture, I have been able to acquire an understanding of not only the work consulting firms do but also the ins and outs of workplace culture, especially when it comes to entry-level employee expectations and desired strengths. I have consistently been praised on my ability to rapidly acclimate to new projects and work within new teams to deliver quality results for my clients. I primarily specialize within the Talent & Organization space to emphasize the importance of the employees in organizations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and competitive output for my clients. Additionally, I seek out opportunities to leverage technology throughout these endeavors to bypass existing boundaries. I would be happy to share my insights from working at one of the largest consulting firms in the world as it pertains to the type of work I've done and my personal development on the job.

I broke into management consulting without an MBA or a target-school pipeline. I started at Deloitte, then moved to Kearney as an Associate, where I served as Chief of Staff to the North America Talent Strategy team and co-authored published firm thought leadership. I know what the case interview actually rewards, what partners screen for in behavioral rounds, and how non-traditional candidates compete against target-school applicants, because I was one. My clients have landed offers at McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Deloitte, and EY. I coach case structuring, market sizing, case math, chart and data analysis, and PEI prep, with a heavy emphasis on the networking strategy that generates the interview in the first place.

Hi! My name is Khushi, and I'm currently a senior at UNC Chapel Hill studying Business, Economics, and Data Science. I came into college without even knowing what consulting was, and now I'm three internships deep—with two summers at Deloitte, another at BCG, and experience as president of a consulting club at UNC. I've also participated in early college programs with Bain, DE Shaw, Accenture, Truist, and more. Having navigated the recruiting trenches for college clubs, internships, and diversity programs, I can confidently say I've found the right career path (for now!) and want to help others do the same. I specialize in helping candidates win MBB offers by mastering the case interview. I spent three years at McKinsey & Company, where my final role included leading recruiting for the entire state of Michigan, giving me direct insight into what actually differentiates successful candidates in interviews. I also earned cross-offers from multiple MBB firms, so I understand the process from the inside at the highest level. For the past three years, I have coached candidates through real MBB case preparation with an 85% placement rate (17 of 20). Welcome to my profile! With a rich background in strategy and consulting, I bring a wealth of experience from top-tier firms including both McKinsey & Company and Boston Consulting Group. As a former Business Analyst at McKinsey, I specialized in strategy, private equity due diligence, and consumer clients, and was offered a direct-to-Associate promotion with full MBA sponsorship within 18 months. My journey continued as a Strategy Manager at Coca-Cola and Chief of Staff at Vodacom, where I led strategic initiatives and launched new business ventures as well as 4,5 years as a tech company founder. I then returned to Management Consulting at Boston Consulting Group, as a Project leader where I have focused on Sustainability, Financial Services and Digital, and thus experienced applying as an experienced hire. I have also coached numerous individuals to achieve their career goals in management consulting. This was both at McKinsey for candidates, at Stanford GSB where I helped my classmates apply to management consulting and through workshops with companies preparing candidates from across the world for MBB and beyond interviews. Over the last seven years, I've coached countless clients through how to network to land a consulting interview and then nail that interview. I landed in Consulting from a liberal arts background - I was a Middle East Studies and Behavioral Science major - and also have experience making sure that students outside of quant-heavy backgrounds feel comfortable approaching the quantitative side of these interviews.
