I was nervous before meeting Michael. Mainly because he is an established Berkeley Haas student and I thought I was just a disturbance in his busy schedule. However, Michael was an amazing mentor! He made me feel welcomed the first time we met. He also gave me constructive criticism regarding my essays while still keeping the whole interaction both friendly as professional. Additionally, the insights he gave about my Haas supplemental essays are gold! He really understood what he was doing and delivered so much value to my application process. I am beyond glad to have met Michael.

Nate provided a strong sounding board and comprehensive feedback throughout my business school process. He approached our coaching sessions with the belief that I was fully capable of both getting into and succeeding at a top business school program ‚Äì but I had to firmly understand why I was applying, and what I wanted to get out of an MBA before applying. He asked me deep questions to help me understand my true motivations, desires, and needs in a program. He also coached me on keeping my stories crisp and concise so that they shined in my application. If you are looking for an incredible storyteller and thought-provoking coach, look no further. Nate will help bring out your truest self and help you show admissions committees what you’ll bring to the table.

Allie is the best. Calling her an MBA Coach undersells the value she brings to the table. She was an incredible thought partner who not only helped me craft the story that got me accepted to my dream program, but ALSO helped me deepen my thinking on my personal value proposition, career goals, and plan of attack once I actually got to school. She is thoughtful, reliable, and frankly just a joy to work with. You would be lucky to have her on your team!

Alex's hourly rate was more than what I hoped to spend, but he was totally worth it. Unlike other tutors I'd worked with, Alex comes incredibly prepared, so you get a lot more out of your time with him than you typically would. Ahead of our sessions, he had reviewed my previous practice exams to ensure we focused not only on the topics I wanted to review, but also the topics he believed would increase my score. He had thorough decks prepared and provided robust notes to track learnings from each session. He is also an incredible teacher who breaks down the content incredibly simply and provides tips and tricks to get you through the exam more efficiently. Overall, Alex is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and awesome to work with, and he helped me raise my GRE 4+ points on both verbal and quant sections!

Sam is as kind and thoughtful as he is talented. Sam helped me from step one of essay brainstorming all the way through application submissions. He was patient and understanding as he pushed me to find my story and bring it to life through not only essays, but my entire application. He helped with every written requirement including any essay, short response, or even my resume. This type of coaching ensured my story was evident and cohesive throughout the entire application. From working with Sam, I now consider him a friend and mentor, and I feel incredibly grateful for his help. I truly could not have applied without him!

One of the more challenging parts of the application process for me was comfortably sharing my background and future ambitions. The sincere self-reflection was one task, but then sharing it with a stranger and seeking feedback always gave me trepidation…but Camden really changed that for me. After a short introductory phone call, he developed a good rapport with me and I felt much more comfortable speaking with him about every part of my application. He went above and beyond my expectations. Despite his busy schedule (and even during vacation), he stayed up late to accommodate my schedule, was very responsive, and spent much more time than I anticipated to carefully read my application strategy and give me thoughtful comments. Not only was Camden vocally supportive and encouraging, but he was also comfortable enough to point out my blind spots which was most valuable to me. His understanding of the application process and his ability to see things from an admissions committee was evident throughout our time together. Without hesitation, I’d highly recommend Camden to any of my peers and would work with him again.

I worked with Samantha to help guide my next steps in my career, and she helped to land me an amazing job with interview and negotiation coaching. She is not only a resume wiz, she gets right to the point and knows so much about many industries! She was able to help me frame my resume in a way that was powerful yet detailed, and helped me to look for jobs and companies I was interested based on my skills and passions. I cannot recommend Samantha enough to be your career coach. I'll be going back to her the next time I need a resume update, career advice, interview prep, and negotiation coaching! 11/10.

I wish I would've booked Michael sooner in the process! He provided thoughtful feedback on my essays, going above and beyond what was asked. The insight he provided on Stanford GSB and the essay writing process was invaluable. He sought to understand my story and then provided valuable ways to craft my narrative. Highly recommend!

I attended Sam's GSB "What matters most" essay workshop and this workshop is just amazing. I had no idea what to write before the workshop but left the workshop with a detailed outline and a clear idea. I later scheduled individual appointments with Sam and he has been super helpful with my essays and all other questions regarding the application. I would highly recommend Sam and his small group class to anyone who is looking for a great coach with great essay skills and application experience.

After almost 10 hour exam yesterday (GRE + Toefl), I was exhausted. I woke up this morning and I had a nosebleed. I opened my computer, and I typed leland.com to write Alex the best review. You see, Alex was so great that I was eager to write him a review when one of my nose is stuffed with tissue as I am typing this. I worked with him on GRE. He was attentive, supportive, positive, and detailed. If going the extra mile means something, he could be the example. By now, I took gmat 8 times, gre 3 times - so that makes me 11 time test taker, and I am so glad that I am done. On a deeper level, I think these graduate level tests are like IQ tests so there are invincible walls that you cannot climb once you hit the threshold. I did not believe in that wall. I think anyone could climb the wall, so i tried for 2 years. Whatever the case, and despite my lack of english-only environment especially in my formative years (childhood years and many books read during the age 12-17 seem to be the most decisive factor in verbal to be honest), I think the way Alex taught me materials was very good and i wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone. Thank you.
