I've had the privilege of attending sessions hosted by Mr. Gortz, and his impact on my professional journey has been nothing short of transformative. I benefitted greatly from Ryan's teaching, mainly because: 1) Competence: Most teachers only either have deep knowledge of the subject area, or else credible practical real-life experience in said subject, but not both. Ryan is one of the rare examples of a teacher who possesses both of these. Not only does he wield a wealth of knowledge, he is able to ground them in real on-the-job experience that helps students navigate the often complex process of putting their knowledge to use, and understand the nuances and intricacies that distinguish proper on-the-job practices from just abstract theoretical knowledge. 2) Facility of communication: Ryan is able to simplify complex concepts, which helps students better understand how it fits into the web of information they've amassed, and also gain a more intuitive understanding of subject matter which helps with knowledge retention. Some finance theories are dauntingly esoteric, but Ryan is able to demystify these with ease. It makes the subject as a whole easier to appreciate. 3) Passion: It was obvious Ryan had a genuine desire to see his students succeed, and it manifested in his interactions with them. This includes devoting extra time to them and being open to be contacted almost anytime (even at sometimes ungodly hours) when they need help Overall, I'd highly recommend Ryan!
