To summarize the below briefly, Emily is a force of nature who has provided an immeasurable impact on my career through hands-on counseling. It still amazes me that someone of her caliber, as proven by her prestigious resume, current role at Dragoneer, and book of advisees who enjoy tenure at some of the biggest names in finance, tech, and consulting (BGC, DoorDash, JP Morgan – to name a few), has the ability to be as generous with their time as Emily is. Emily’s ability to navigate the often overwhelming and unpredictable nature of job markets has been, in no small part, why I have been able to jump to three new companies in the span of four years – more than doubling my salary in the process. Outside of the pressure cooker of finding the right position, Emily has equipped me with an internal antenna that allows me to understand when I feel I have suffered from stifled growth or should buckle down and appreciate the challenges I face in a role.
