Break Into Consulting |ex-Bain Partner/Recruiting Head, 2nd Rnd Interviewer
I'm a former Senior Partner and Head of Recruiting at Bain & Company. I was a second round interviewer across all core schools for years. And I was the Partner who led decisions on all candidate offers for new consultants and ACs. I've interviewed and made offers for hundreds of MBAs and undergrads for full time and summer positions. I also taught an "Introduction to Management Consulting" class at UC Irvine, a "non-core" school before that class, and a "core" school afterwards for the Los Angeles office. The class was basically my custom-made new consultant training - a hand-on, practical introduction to the job, structured to provide as close to a real "first case on the job" applied experience. I led students step-by-step through the process of conducting a strategic full potential diagnostic first-hand, researching companies of their choice and building out a future vision, recommended strategy, set of priority initiatives, change management roadmap. They created Board-ready presentations and delivered them in class, again receiving coaching for consultant-level communication effectiveness. In addition to teaching and immersing them in the new consultant tool-kit, I introduced them to the recruiting process and coached them on proactive, creative ways to get into the interviewing cycle. We practiced mock cases and many students successfully landed jobs at Bain and other top consultancies and strategy depts. Depending on where you are in your pursuit, I'm happy to provide support. If you've got final rounds this coming Monday, I'm happy to run a mock case with you and provide feedback. If you're a non-traditional candidate, or coming from a non-core school, and you're looking forward to submitting applications with the hope of an interview, I'm happy to work with you on a fuller break-in strategy. Some examples of things I can help with - as discrete individual sessions or as part of an ongoing coaching - guidance and feedback to best position resumes and cover letters to secure interviews, networking strategies, overview the core consulting toolkit (frameworks, analytical tools, etc) and communication skills, mock interviews and feedback, of course... And more broadly, and all along the way, I'm happy to experience share and/or provide insight into a "day in the life" and career trajectories. I'm passionate about this because I think it's really valuable for folks to understand the profession they're joining! I invite you to reach out in whatever way would be most helpful. If you're looking for a mock interview, it's very easy to set that up. You can block the time and forward your resume, and we'll treat that hour as a real deal Partner interviewing experience with feedback. Alternatively, if you're looking for a broader game plan, or if you have no idea where to start, I've discounted a session that let's us build a strategy that gets you from where you are into the interviewing process and hopefully sailing to an offer. And I can coach you at every step of the way. Sign up for which feels right to you. And message if you'd like to chat or if you don't see availability on my calendar. I want to be as accessible as possible. Most importantly, I want to work with people who I can truly help succeed. I look forward to hearing from and working with you!$350/hr

Former Bain Interviewer and Sr. Manager | Harvard MBA
As a Senior Manager at Bain, I have personally interviewed dozens of high-caliber individuals who got an interview slot. I've coached over a hundred people on how to navigate the management consulting interview process throughout my 6+ year-long career at Bain, whether that be resume editing, interview prep, or career advice. I have a deep understanding of the consulting industry and the skills needed to succeed. I also hold an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Brigham Young University. I had no experience with consulting or case prep and applied to Bain because a friend said I should. My first practice case was with a Bain employee one week before my actual interview. Needless to say, it was a disaster. I called on all the resources I could to prep enough to make it in, and it worked! I want to give back to honor those who helped me through this process. I will give you my honest opinions and perspectives on both the amazing and difficult aspects of consulting. And happy to talk about your overall perspectives on life and what you want out of it! Feel free to reach out to discuss how I can help!$199/hr

Case Interview & MBA Coaching with BCG Consultant 92% MBB Success Rate
BCG consultant with 75+ consulting offers achieved and a 92% MBB success rate* (98% for management consulting overall). MBA from SDA Bocconi and Columbia Business School, mechanical engineering degree from Politecnico di Milano and the University of Illinois. Candidates I've coached have received offers from McKinsey, BCG, Bain and second tier firms (Kearney, Roland Berger, Strategy&), entering from programs including HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Columbia, Booth, Kellogg, MIT Sloan, LBS, INSEAD, HEC Paris, Bocconi and IESE. I support candidates from application prep (CV, cover letter, LinkedIn) through to interviews (fit and case interview). Sessions cover market sizing, idea generation, and every type of case (including profitability, market entry, M&A, pricing). The goal is — almost metaphysically — to become an external observer of the case: understand its strategy, anticipate its moves, and stay present, balanced and centred in every moment of the interview. From direct experience, having lived through all of these dynamics myself — the doubts about whether you're investing your time in a way that's functional, constructive and not dispersive, the setbacks and the ability to learn from them — I'm able to accompany you through this as well, which is one of the most important parts of the journey. The other aspect we'll work on, and that almost no one addresses, is the psychological side: managing pressure, picking yourself up after a mistake, building confidence in yourself, learning to communicate that confidence and knowing your own worth. These are the factors that determine the outcome, far more than the 'perfect' framework. If what you've read resonates, write to me. *1:1 coaching, among candidates with a qualified profile.$195/hr

Helping Non-Target Candidates Break Into Strategy Consulting | BCG & OW
Hi! I’m a former consultant with offers from Boston Consulting Group and Oliver Wyman, based in New York. I now work in Strategy and Ops in big tech - across topics like A/B testing, planning and performance management, and AI Center of Excellence. I'm a first-gen immigrant coming from a non-target background. Neither of my parents worked in business - I broke into consulting by networking strategically and performing well in interviews. I now coach early- and mid-career professionals from non-target schools who want to break into management consulting (MBB and Tier 2). Over the years, I’ve helped dozens of candidates land offers at McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Oliver Wyman, and other top firms. My approach focuses on turning your real experience into consultant-ready stories, building structured and data-driven thinking for cases, and helping you communicate with clarity and confidence in interviews.$169/hr

Ex-Bain Interviewer | Resume Review Lead, Case Prep Buddy
I've spent more time on the interviewer's side of the table than the candidate's. At Bain, I interviewed through full recruiting cycles, led resume review for our Stanford campus team, and worked on the firm's own recruiting strategy as a full-time internal case, so I know what screens people out before a recruiter reads closely, and where the bar actually sits at each round.$60/hr

Ex-McK interviewer l Professional Wharton Case Interviewer l Cross-offered
Let me be your MBB sherpa! 😊Like a sherpa, I am an expert at helping you navigate the dizzying terrain of MBB life (both recruiting and post-accpetance). My three biggest value-adds are: (1) case interviewing - to this day I still case interview applicants; (2) MBB reviews: I love to dispell the myths and rumors you may have encountered on forums like Reddit; (3) Role-fit assessment: providing honest feedback on whether an MBB career aligns with your goals. SInce I was cross-offered between BCG and McKinsey I spent an immense amount of time studying the two firms. At McKinsey I continued to do this as I focused on helping cross-offerees understand the differences among MBB. Even before starting at McKinsey, I was helping peers break into MBB by being a paid case interviewer at Wharton (where I completed my JD/MBA degree from The Wharton School and University of Pennsylvania Law School). I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my coaching. At McKinsey, I specialized in growth and efficiency studies and was trained as an interviewer, providing me with deep insights into the consulting recruitment process. Over the years, I've successfully coached dozens of MBB prospects, helping them navigate the complexities of case interviews to secure positions at top consulting firms. I particularly enjoy spending serious time explaining the differences between the firms (based off my own dilligence when cross-offered as well as from my current ex-MBB colleagues). My recent McKinsey alumunus status perfectly positions me to provide relevant insights on how to master the consulting case interview, objectively decide between MBB firms, and optimize your MBB experience (particularly at McKinsey). I enjoy talking about all facets of MBB recruiting and MBB life - nothing is off limits (e.g., what should one actually expect, how does McK staffing work in practice). The latter topic of McKinsey staffing is particularly interesting to me as I always self-staffed (apart from the summer internship). Moreover, as an alumnus who sitll uses case interviews I have recruited several ex-MBB consultants. This allows me to continue to gain insights on any Firm updates, confirm differences in how the MBB firms operate, and comment on what to expect post-MBB. Whether you're looking to refine your interview skills or need comprehensive application support, I'm here to guide you every step of the way. Let's connect and craft a strategy to achieve your career goals!$115/hr
