Office Hours with a Former Bain On-Campus Interviewer

I was part of Bain's interview team and know exactly what it takes to break into MBBs (Bain, McKinsey, BCG) and other top consulting firms. I have 8+ years and 800+ hours of experience, and I've been a Leland Top Coach the last two years (2023, 2024). I have the most sessions run of any Management Consulting coach on the platform. Here are a few other things you should know about me: • Former member of Bain's on campus interview team — interviewed 100+ candidates and read 400+ applications • Specialize in helping my clients master the case interview — the most critical and difficult part of the process • Additional specialties — behavioral interview, resume/cover letter, networking (in other words, I support candidates throughout the entire recruitment process!) • Clients have broken into all MBBs and other major consulting firms — Bain, BCG, McKinsey, ZS Associates, LEK, etc. • Education — MIT Sloan MBA (Class of 2021), Washington University in St. Louis (Class of 2016) I'm a full "partner" to my clients and our prep includes more than just live sessions: • I assign asynchronous video content so clients can learn key case concepts without using valuable session minutes • I assign targeted exercises and worksheets so clients can master key skills outside sessions • I share study guides for all aspects of the case (e.g., market sizing, frameworks, math) and behavioral interviews • I customize the process based on the candidate's timeline, existing skills, etc. — no two candidates are the same Ultimately, this allows us to spend session time on targeted drilling and full cases — the two most effective ways to address weaknesses and build confidence. We may also spend time live editing your resume, building a networking strategy, or running a mock behavioral interview. In a single session, we often cover multiple of these topics. After each session, I provide a clear outline of feedback and assign "prep work" to be completed ahead of our next session. My style is direct, honest, deeply supportive, and I love to laugh! The prep process shouldn't be a slog, but I make sure we're using every minute intentionally. Some clients work with me for 3+ months while others reach out before a big interview.
