There are meaningful distinctions, stylistically and content-wise, in how these essays should be approached. And whether your dream school is Harvard or Stanford, those that really maximize the essay-writing process find a way to make clear how their experiences inform their goals, and develop clear narrative through-lines that make their contributions to the school and program tangible. Their professional and judiciously placed personal experience offer evidence for why they’re the kind of person who will make a specific kind of difference in the world. We'll help you determine how and where you should focus, and in what ways these schools are looking for the same kind of applicant too: how their voice jumped off the page--and showed AdComs at the two most sought-after MBA programs how they'd contribute to their community. This event will draw from example essays written by successful GSB and HBS admits. During this session, we'll analyze these essays alongside you so you have a clear view into how you can apply what you've learned to your own writing, and put your best application forward for Kellogg's top-flight MBA program. This is a unique session, and we'll be spending 90 minutes instead of the usual 60 -- because it's the kind of session we hope will leave you with a clear starting point for your dream schools, where essay-writing and MBA coaching fits in, and how you can translate your background into a meaningful, genuine narrative.
