About Zuwena
Zuwena (she/her) has over seven years of coaching experience on an international scale. From the University of Texas at San Antonio to various institutions in the Trans-Himalayan region, Zuwena has worked extensively with students of diverse backgrounds and from different walks of life. She has aided her students in achieving admission into their first choice graduate, medical, doctoral, law, and other programs, as well as on their theses and dissertations for those same programs. Zuwena holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Having made the leap from her local state university to her first choice master’s program, Zuwena has a unique understanding of the inner workings of Oxbridge and Ivy League institutions. She believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve their goals, no matter their background, and this belief she enacts through coaching. Outside of coaching, Zuwena volunteers for a non-profit in sustainability data analytics. She spends her free time bouldering, pursuing the arts, and reading everything she can get her hands on.
Why do I coach?
As an admissions and writing coach, I believe wholeheartedly that everyone should have the opportunity to chase their dreams. As someone who grew up in the diaspora space, I understand the courage and determination it takes to pursue goals that may seem unattainable. However, with the right guidance and support, those dreams have every chance to become a reality, and I carry this belief through my coaching. I love meeting new people, and over my many years of coaching experience, I’ve found that coaching is one the most rewarding ways to interact with and learn from people from all kinds of backgrounds. I look forward to getting to know my clients beyond just the admissions process, so that together we can create a unique and personalised application to the programs of their dreams.
