About Zahra
I spent three years in the Boston Consulting Group's social impact practice, after which I thought I was going to go to the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Harvard Kennedy School for a joint Masters in Public Policy (MPP)/MBA. After enrolling and spending my first year in the MPP, I realized that I was more interested in the law and how it impacted our government than I was in focusing further on business. With the help of some great mentors, I pivoted into the legal field where I now focus on public interest and legal aid work. I am currently in my third year of a four year joint JD/MPP at the Harvard Law and Kennedy Schools.
Why do I coach?
I grew up outside the US and was unfamiliar with many of the systems here. Navigating undergrad applications, graduate schools, and job opportunities was only something I could have done well with the help of great mentors that knew the systems I wanted to work in well and were willing to put in the time to support me as I worked through them. I get a lot of joy out of providing that same support to others in my capacity as a coach!
