About Sydney

I started my career in professional sports—fast-paced, exciting, and eye-opening. Working in a male-dominated environment, I quickly became aware of the unspoken pressure to shrink myself to fit in. That experience sparked a bigger question for me: why do workplace gaps exist, and who gets left behind because of them? As I transitioned out of sports, I found my energy in building structure—creating systems, leading trainings, and helping people perform at their best. That curiosity led me to earn a Master’s in Human Resource Development, specializing in Training & Development and Diversity, Equity, and Education. My path eventually led me into recruiting, where everything clicked. I didn’t just enjoy helping companies find talent—I was passionate about helping people find the right career for themselves. My own career hasn’t been linear, and I’ve navigated many of the same challenges my clients face. That’s why my approach is rooted in both strategy and real-world experience. I help clients identify work that aligns with their values, strengths, and lifestyle—not just what looks good on paper. Because the truth is: job seekers hold more power than they think. Companies need great people just as much as people need opportunities—and I help my clients move with that confidence.

Why do I coach?

I coach because I know what it feels like to have ambition—but not a clear roadmap. Coming from a similar background as many of my clients, I didn’t fully understand the range of careers available to me until I started recruiting for them. That experience was eye-opening. It made me realize how many talented, capable people are simply missing access, exposure, and guidance—not ability. If I had known then what I know now, my career path may have looked very different. And that’s exactly why I do this work. Coaching, to me, is about closing that gap. I help people gain clarity on what’s possible, understand how to position themselves competitively, and move with intention toward opportunities that align with who they are. Because when people have the right information and strategy, they don’t just find jobs—they create options.
