About Sung
I’m a New York-licensed CPA and Senior Manager at PwC with more than 12 years of experience in accounting, tax, and professional services. I began my career in PwC’s Asset & Wealth Management Tax practice and later transitioned into International Tax Services, where I now advise multinational companies on complex cross-border tax and business matters. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with global clients and teams, lead complex engagements, and coach professionals at different stages of their careers. My journey from starting out in public accounting to becoming a Senior Manager has given me firsthand experience with the opportunities and challenges that come with building a long-term career in the Big 4. I’m passionate about sharing those experiences with students and professionals who are building their own careers in accounting, tax, and professional services.
Why do I coach?
Mentorship has played an important role throughout my own career. I’ve been fortunate to work with mentors and leaders who helped me navigate difficult decisions, develop professionally, and see opportunities that I may not have recognized on my own. As I progressed in my career, I found it equally rewarding to coach and mentor others. Today, a meaningful part of my role involves helping professionals develop their skills, work through challenges, and grow in their careers. I coach because I know how valuable it can be to have someone who has been through a similar journey and can provide practical, candid guidance. Whether someone is trying to break into the Big 4, prepare for an interview, navigate public accounting, or decide on their next career move, I want to help them approach those decisions with greater clarity and confidence.
