Why work with me? -I broke in without the perfect pedigree — I know how to help you do the same. -I accelerated fast inside Deloitte — and coach the habits that actually lead to promotions. -I’ve sat on both sides: candidate, coach, team lead, practice builder. -I understand how consulting firms really work — not just the recruiting step. -My coaching combines strategy, psychology, and systems thinking. When I applied to Deloitte, I didn’t match the traditional “consulting pedigree.” My GPA was below the cutoff, and on paper I shouldn’t have made it through the first screen — but I found a way in. Once inside the firm, I went from the lowest rating in my first year to becoming the fastest person in my cohort promoted into the post-MBA role, earning two promotions in two years. Along the way, I learned how to master case interviews, tell a clear and compelling story, build internal reputation, and deliver under pressure. More importantly, I learned how to navigate consulting as a real system: the unspoken rules around staffing, partner expectations, reputation loops, narrative management, and avoiding early-career traps. Those are the skills I now coach others to develop. At Deloitte, I helped launch and scale a new Strategy & Analytics practice, leading the first pilot and helping grow it into an eight-figure business. I worked across commercial strategy, government and public sector, AI and data strategy, and internal innovation roles. I was selected for Deloitte’s Graduate School Assistance Program (GSAP) and completed my MBA at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. I coach two types of professionals: (1) Ambitious, nontraditional applicants People who may not have the perfect GPA, target school background, or conventional story — but who have real potential and want to break into consulting. I help you sharpen your narrative, build confidence, prep for case interviews, and design a strategy to stand out. (2) Early-career consultants who want to accelerate If you’re already in the firm and want to build influence, avoid early pitfalls, navigate unspoken rules, or prepare for promotion cycles, I can help you understand the “game behind the game” and build momentum in your career. My coaching style is personal, direct, and practical. I focus on what actually moves you forward — not generic advice. If you’re hungry, ambitious, and willing to put in the work, I’d love to help you get there.

About Stephen
TL;DR: - School: Stanford GSB / E-IPER dual degree - Pre MBA experience: consulting & blue collar work - Stats: 3.25 GPA / 710 GMAT - Other: reapplicant, first-gen college student - Strengths: overall application, essays, resume, and storytelling I am a first-gen college student who look longer to figure out his path in life. My dad drove 53-foot tractor trailer trucks and my mom worked at a grocery store, but my parents always instilled in me that college was the path to a more successful, stable life. So, off I went to the highest-ranked school I got into - Wake Forest University in North Carolina. At Wake I majored in Exercise Science and became a Division I cheerleader (Go Deacs!), hoping to work for a major athletic apparel company doing research. Yet, I graduated without vision and worked a string of odd-jobs (running shoe store, pizza parlor cashier, and a grill salesman at Lowe's), until I figured out my next step. Consulting seemed like the best career launchpad, so I enrolled in a MS in Management program at Wake Forest to make the pivot. I worked at Deloitte Consulting for five years, where I focused on emerging tech strategy and policy in government. Each choice up to this point was for survival - to create a better foundational for a career, to be able to support my family, or to make more money to pay off my student loans quicker. I decided to go to business school to do something I was passionate about and to create a lasting impact I could be proud of. At Stanford I am focusing on the future of transportation and freight and supply chain innovation. I like to think I am following in my dad's footsteps. I have been advising startups in the freight tech space, and soon I hope to launch my own venture that pairs my love of technology & trucking. I decided to coach because the only reason that I have gotten to where I am today is because of the kindness and guidance of people paying it forward. My dad taught me that you can change the world by changing one person's world, and that is the impact I hope to have.
