Why work with me? -I broke in without the perfect pedigree — I know how to help you do the same. -I accelerated fast inside Deloitte — and coach the habits that actually lead to promotions. -I’ve sat on both sides: candidate, coach, team lead, practice builder. -I understand how consulting firms really work — not just the recruiting step. -My coaching combines strategy, psychology, and systems thinking. When I applied to Deloitte, I didn’t match the traditional “consulting pedigree.” My GPA was below the cutoff, and on paper I shouldn’t have made it through the first screen — but I found a way in. Once inside the firm, I went from the lowest rating in my first year to becoming the fastest person in my cohort promoted into the post-MBA role, earning two promotions in two years. Along the way, I learned how to master case interviews, tell a clear and compelling story, build internal reputation, and deliver under pressure. More importantly, I learned how to navigate consulting as a real system: the unspoken rules around staffing, partner expectations, reputation loops, narrative management, and avoiding early-career traps. Those are the skills I now coach others to develop. At Deloitte, I helped launch and scale a new Strategy & Analytics practice, leading the first pilot and helping grow it into an eight-figure business. I worked across commercial strategy, government and public sector, AI and data strategy, and internal innovation roles. I was selected for Deloitte’s Graduate School Assistance Program (GSAP) and completed my MBA at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. I coach two types of professionals: (1) Ambitious, nontraditional applicants People who may not have the perfect GPA, target school background, or conventional story — but who have real potential and want to break into consulting. I help you sharpen your narrative, build confidence, prep for case interviews, and design a strategy to stand out. (2) Early-career consultants who want to accelerate If you’re already in the firm and want to build influence, avoid early pitfalls, navigate unspoken rules, or prepare for promotion cycles, I can help you understand the “game behind the game” and build momentum in your career. My coaching style is personal, direct, and practical. I focus on what actually moves you forward — not generic advice. If you’re hungry, ambitious, and willing to put in the work, I’d love to help you get there.

About Stephen
I didn’t enter consulting with the perfect pedigree, but I became the fastest person in my Deloitte cohort promoted into the post-MBA role. My entire career has been built on figuring things out from first principles, learning fast, and navigating systems that don’t always explain the rules. My Background • Deloitte Consulting (Government & Public Sector) Broke in without the typical background; started with one of the lowest early ratings and later became the fastest promoted in my cohort. Worked across strategy, analytics, and early AI/automation initiatives for federal agencies. • MBA — Stanford Graduate School of Business Sponsored through Deloitte’s GSAP program. Focus on leadership, systems thinking, and organizational behavior. • Chief of Staff — Seed-Stage AI Startup Joined at ~10 people and supported strategy, operations, hiring, investor relations, and GTM as the company grew toward Series A. • Monitor Deloitte (Commercial Strategy) Returned on the commercial side, leading strategy projects in tech and healthcare, and helping build new offerings inside the Strategy & Analytics practice. • People Science & AI — Walmart Currently focused on enterprise AI transformation and building People Science capabilities at global scale for our 2.2 million employees. ⭐ What I Offer I help ambitious people break into consulting and accelerate once they’re inside. Not with generic advice, but with the exact tools, clarity, and strategic perspective I wish someone had given me earlier. ⭐ I work especially well with: -People who don’t come from the perfect pedigree but know they have real potential -Candidates who want clear, actionable guidance rather than fluff -Early-career consultants who want to build influence and grow faster -People who value honesty, preparation, and high standards What you can expect from me: -Direct feedback -Clear frameworks -Practical steps -Honest perspective on how the system really works
Why do I coach?
...Because I know what it feels like to be talented, ambitious, and still unsure how to navigate the system. I didn’t have a perfect résumé or a clear playbook. I had to learn the rules no one explains out loud. How to break in, how to build reputation quickly, how to get staffed on the right work, and how to grow fast in environments that don’t always make the path obvious. Coaching lets me shortcut that learning curve for others who are capable of more but need clarity, structure, and someone who’s actually been through the messy parts.
