100+ people coached for Executive Coaching
Spencer’s first boss yelled at him every single day. It wasn’t great. From that experience, he knew that his life’s work would be to help foster environments where people felt respected, empowered, and excited to do their best work. That’s what drew him to leading teams as an operator, and now to coaching. Spencer has spent 15 years leading high-performing teams. He helped scale Uber from 200 to 15,000 employees as a strategy and operations leader; was president of his section at Harvard Business School; founded Bar None Games, a virtual team-building company that hosted more than 4,000 events during the pandemic; and most recently led much of the People function at Ramp. Today, Spencer is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with more than 1,000 hours of client coaching experience. He combines his coaching training with deep operating experience to help coachees tackle whatever challenge, blocker, or opportunity is most important to them. His current clients include employees at many top pre-IPO startups, including Ramp, Clay, Headway, Harvey, and Omni. He works with executives who want to inspire exceptional performance from their teams; ICs taking on the biggest challenges of their careers and figuring out how to navigate them; and people who generally enjoy what they do but want to keep raising the bar on what a fulfilling, authentic career can look like. His style is warm, candid, curious, and results-oriented, creating space for reflection while not being afraid to challenge assumptions, push back, or help turn insight into action.
