About Sophia
It’s hard to see your blind spots without an outside perspective. I help students and early-career professionals identify strengths, improve weaknesses, and build a clear path toward the future they want. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Data Science and have hands-on experience navigating internships, research roles, and early-career recruiting in tech. I’ve served as a peer mentor, led a UC Berkeley course on Inclusive Pathways into the Tech Industry—developing curriculum and supporting semester-long career projects—and informally mentored friends and colleagues on resumes, interviews, and salary negotiation. Happy to help with: • Resume & application review • Interview prep • Negotiation strategy • Career direction in tech • Scholarship support • Transfer admissions guidance If you’re a college student or early-career professional, feel free to message me as I like to say: it never hurts to just ask 🙂
Why do I coach?
As a first-generation college student with no prior exposure to tech, I had to learn how the industry worked through mentors who generously guided me. Their support changed my path and showed me how powerful an outside perspective can be. In college, I gave back as a peer mentor and course leader, helping students navigate academics and early tech careers. Coaching matters to me because I know firsthand how the right guidance can build confidence, open doors, and help someone see possibilities they didn’t know were there.
