About Saaim

Saaim Khan is a medical student at Harvard Medical School and a graduate of Harvard College, where he studied Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology. He’s interested in the intersection of healthcare, genomics, and entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on hearing loss—a space he’s personally connected to as someone who is hard of hearing. At Harvard, Saaim spent a lot of his time building and leading communities. He served as Vice President of the Harvard Undergraduate Global Education Movement, where he helped run international programs in 10+ countries teaching social innovation and biomedical problem-solving. He also co-directed the Deaf Awareness Coalition through the Phillips Brooks House Association, organizing outreach with local deaf schools and creating more accessible, ASL-friendly spaces on campus. Additionally, he was involved in cultural programming and fundraising through the Harvard College Pakistani Students Association and volunteered as a piano instructor for underserved youth. Outside of school, Saaim has been involved in both research and investing. At Boston Children’s Hospital, he works on gene therapy research to better understand the genetic causes of pediatric hearing loss and improve therapeutic approaches. In parallel, he’s spent time in early-stage healthcare investing with Remus Capital and Sterling Atlantic, supporting diligence and company-building efforts.
