About Roxanne
I've built my career at the intersection of healthcare, policy, and global affairs, drawn to systems-level thinking and the strategic work of understanding and improving how large institutions actually function. I'm the founder and CEO of a rapidly growing health tech company in the UK, and before that held senior roles within the UK's National Health Service (NHS), having completed the highly competitive NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme. Academically, I've just graduated from the Schwarzman Scholars programme at Tsinghua University (2025–2026), where my research focused on the geoeconomics of data in drug discovery, and my coursework spanned policy, business, and global health. I also hold a Master's in Healthcare Leadership (the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson programme), jointly delivered by the Universities of Birmingham and Manchester and designed specifically for public sector health leaders, where I wrote my dissertation on collaborative leadership and management. Prior to that, I completed my first Master's at King's College London - an MSc in China and Globalisation, focused on policy and international relations, with a dissertation on Chinese investment in Sri Lanka. My undergraduate degree was a BSc in Political Economy (with Honours), also at King's, where I was awarded the China Summer Award on two occasions, as well as the King's Global Leadership Award. Alongside my academic work, I'm grateful to have received a number of awards, including being selected as a China–United States Exchange Foundation Scholar at One Young World in Montreal (2024), one of just eight scholars chosen from over 12,000 applicants (roughly the top 0.07%), and the Heather Trickey Prize for women's health policy research.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I know exactly what it takes to build a competitive application from scratch. When I applied for the Schwarzman Scholars programme, I had the building blocks - strong experiences, clear interests, a solid academic background. But what made the difference was having mentors and coaches who helped me step back, see the bigger picture, and articulate a coherent narrative. I realised that in highly competitive processes, it's rarely about adding more achievements, but rather about clarity and how your story fits together. When I founded my startup, I received coaching through the accelerator programme I was part of. As a solo founder, that space was invaluable. It gave me structure in moments of uncertainty and helped me make significant decisions with more confidence and thoughtfulness. That's what I try to give my clients: the clarity and structure to make what's already there land.
