About Roxanne

I’ve built a career across healthcare, policy, and global affairs because I’ve always been interested in how large systems actually work. I studied Political Economy at King’s College London, spent time studying in China during my undergraduate years, and later completed Master’s degrees in China & Globalisation and Healthcare Leadership, before joining this year's cohort of Schwarzman Scholars (2025–2026) at Tsinghua University. I am a graduate of the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme and went on to hold operational leadership roles in hospital settings, managing teams and services within complex, high-pressure environments. Much of my path has involved stepping into opportunities slightly before I felt fully ready - applying to competitive programmes, moving countries, taking on leadership responsibility early, and building a startup backed by the University of Oxford and King’s College London alongside full-time work. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to receive highly selective scholarships, attend global conferences on a fully funded basis, and win recognition for policy writing and public impact.
