About Raishaun
I was grew up in Hartford, County and attended Harvard for undergrad, where I played Division I football and developed a deep interest in finance, leadership, and equity in education. After starting my career in trading and investment banking at Credit Suisse, I transitioned into growth equity at TPG’s Rise Fund and now invest in early-stage startups as a venture capital investor. Alongside my professional path, I founded a national nonprofit focused on youth mentorship and leadership development, work that continues to inspire me daily. I’m currently pursuing my MBA at Stanford GSB, where I’m committed to empowering the next generation of leaders and paying forward the mentorship and opportunities I’ve received along the way.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I wouldn’t be where I am today without the mentors who believed in me, challenged me, and helped me see what was possible—especially when I didn’t always see it for myself. As a son of a Jamaican immigrant, and often times the only POC in the room, I had to navigate a lot of uncertainty on my path to Harvard, into finance, and now to Stanford GSB. I know what it’s like to feel like the odds are stacked against you, and I also know how transformational it can be to have someone in your corner. Coaching is my way of paying that forward. I’m passionate about helping applicants tell their stories with confidence, clarity, and authenticity, because your voice matters, and your journey is enough.
