Olivia’s MBA Qualifications
Standing out in competitive business school applications is all about how you tell your story. As a former strategic communications consultant at the Brunswick Group, an experienced Yale alumni admissions interviewer, and a successful pivoter, I can help you craft a narrative that resonates with admissions committees while staying true to who you are. I was admitted to 6 MBA programs with over $700K in total merit-based scholarships offered, so I've navigated this process myself — and I know what works. Whether it's sharpening your essays, refining your resume, or preparing you for interviews, I bring the same skills I used to media prep C-suite executives to help you approach admissions with clarity and confidence. I also believe the admissions process is bigger than admissions - it's a time to reflect on your personal and professional goals. Learning how to tell your story so far can help you write the next chapter. Here's how I can help: -Identifying target programs -Comprehensive resume review -Essay brainstorming and "story mining" -Crafting clear and compelling essays -Recommender selection advice -Elevator pitch -Mock interviews and tough Q&A

About Olivia
I almost didn't apply to business school. But now, as a second-year at Kellogg, I'm so grateful for the experiences I've had: interning at a VC firm and a startup, working with the CEO of a Chicago-based tea company, teaching yoga, learning that I'm not bad at finance, traveling to 7+ countries, and meeting classmates from all around the world. So whether you're trying to decide if business school is right for you or if you're ready to take the next step, I'll be your calm and candid coach who helps you tell your story. Pre-Kellogg, I spent six years as a strategic communications consultant at the Brunswick Group in New York, where I supported some of the world's biggest companies and nonprofits as they navigated crises and change. Last summer, I tried something completely different as a Sr. Program Manager Intern at Amazon in Seattle. I don't believe in putting people in a box, but I do believe that some skills - listening, writing, and communicating - will get you far. I studied English at Yale, where I spent a lot of time reading Russian novels, writing for various publications, and entering cooking contests. My first job (and a great one at that) was a summer internship at my local newspaper in Birmingham, AL.
Why do I coach?
As a "non-traditional" candidate (ask me why I'm skeptical about that term!), I spent 2+ years trying to decide whether business school would be right for me. I haven't graduated yet, but I'm grateful to the many coaches and mentors who helped me chart my path. Before Kellogg, I helped complex organizations and their CEOs cut through the noise and tell compelling stories. Now I'm excited to channel those skills into helping you tell yours, from brainstorming ideas to polishing final drafts and brushing up your interview skills. As a Yale alum and active admissions interviewer for my alma mater for 6+ years, I know what a strong application looks like from both sides of the table. I believe the admissions process is as much about self discovery as it is about getting accepted to your dream school. Introspection, honesty, and humor will make you stand out - and feel better about the final product.
