About Kate
Kate Lowry has almost two decades of experience as a serial founder, VC, tech leader, and CEO coach. She combines a warm, welcoming style with hard core business experience, thoughtful questions, and deep strategic chops.
Why do I coach?
Kate's journey to coaching began ten years ago, when she was working as a McKinsey consultant. She noticed how deeply lonely it can be to be a CEO, and how important it was for company leaders to have an objective sounding board. In her work as an AI founder, then chief of staff at an AI startup, she learned how deeply founders impact culture, and then leading product strategy decisions at Meta, how to treat everything, including herself, as a product to be iterated. When Kate moved into VC, she loved working with founders one-on-one full time, but she found the power dynamics to be a conflict of interest, so she founded Scaleheart Co.: a values-driven coaching and advising firm for real world startup CEOs, that helps them scale rapidly, with strategic decisions made with both strong business fundamentals, and a heart-centered, human lens.
