About Jessica
Successfully Supporting Students Since 1996 I've always been a great tester. This knack, along with an intuitive understanding of how to successfully navigate the college application process and of course the hard work it takes to succeed in high school, helped me earn lucrative scholarships and gain admission to every highly selective college I'd applied to, including my alma mater Harvard University. After graduation, I realized I also had a knack for helping students nail standardized tests. I trained at Summit Educational Group, a premier East Coast in-home test prep company, and, in my first season, helped my first student achieve a perfect score and many more gain unusually good results. I was at least as pleased as they were, so, after heading west, I continued this gratifying work through Ivy West in Los Angeles. I quickly realized families wanted help with more than filling in bubbles, so I founded Cambridge Prep to share my highly effective approach to gaining admissions to elite colleges and provide families with tailored support throughout the college admissions process. I later went through the exceptionally selective and rigorous process of becoming a GMAT instructor for Manhattan Prep before fully settling into helping local families successfully navigate the college admissions process. Once the pandemic hit, I grew comfortable with fully supporting students not only in person but also remotely. Cambridge Prep provides my approach to the college admissions process based on the strategies and approaches that brought me great success and what I've learned from and developed over decades of supporting a diverse set of students in and around Los Angeles and beyond. I've been honing and sharing this approach with families with truly exceptional results, and I welcome your family to join so many others in navigating a successful path to college. Why do I coach?
As a driven high school student, I earned admission to every college I applied to: Harvard, Tufts, Wesleyan, Smith, Wellesley, Duke and Boston University. I understood even then I'd found a successful formula; it's one I rely on to this day to help families achieve similar remarkable results. Having been involved in the college admissions scene for over two decades, I've developed highly effective and efficient proprietary methods for the ACT, SAT, Subject Tests and application essays. I insist on working with only real, previously administered tests for best results. With each student, my goal is to help define and reach college admissions goals as we move through the application process. I work individually to support each student's unique needs most effectively. My approach is holistic: I help students not only with test prep but also with navigating the college application process. I've been impressed by my students' collective performance, with most achieving score increases far beyond the norm and, more important, gaining admission to the colleges of their choice. I've found that my strengths in standardized testing, creative writing, psychology and communication combine beautifully to support students in overcoming insecurities, learning difficulties and other obstacles that can interfere with standardized testing and college admissions success. Having worked with hundreds of students over the course of my career, I'm fully confident in my abilities to connect with and support high achievers, bubble-phobic students, and those with atypical wants and needs alike.

As perhaps the only independent craft chocolate broker, Jessica has curated a mix of top chocolate makers and exceptional retailers in Los Angeles and San Francisco to create and support successful craft chocolate programs.
