You could go into your application without this. A lot of people do. They pick schools based on rankings, write essays based on prompts, and hope their story lands. It usually doesn't — not the way it should. This is a focused, 90-minute strategy session with a 3-time Poets & Quants Award-winning consultant who has worked with MBA applicants since 2006. We look at your candidacy with clear eyes: where you're strong, where you're exposed, and — most importantly — what makes you you in a pool of people who look a lot like you on paper. You'll leave with a candid read on your competitive positioning, a defined narrative angle, a realistic school list, and a concrete sense of exactly what your application needs. Whether you're a year out or a month from R1, this is where the real work starts.
The Admit Blueprint offers a personalized, two-hour strategy session to help MBA applicants define their unique narrative and competitive positioning.
The plan is suitable for applicants at any stage of the application process, whether a year out or close to deadlines.
The strategy session is designed to help applicants stand out in a competitive pool by articulating their unique stories and motivations effectively.
Coaching delivered via live sessions.
The work starts before the essays. Most applicants come in wanting to know what the schools want to see. We flip that. The first question is who you are, what you've actually built, and what makes your story different from the hundreds of other accomplished people applying to the same programs. Once we have that foundation, everything else follows: school strategy, essay development, interview preparation, post-submit positioning. You'll have direct access to me throughout. Not a junior consultant, not a template. We work closely, with regular check-ins to keep momentum and honest feedback to keep the work sharp. I won't tell you your first draft is great when it isn't. I also won't let you submit something that doesn't reflect your best. I've been doing this since 2006, with applicants from every background — finance, consulting, medicine, military, entrepreneurship, family business. The through-line is always the same: the application that gets you in is the one that sounds like you, just at your best and clearest. Three Poets & Quants awards. Top 10 and Top 20 admits, frequently with scholarship. If you're serious about the outcome, let's work.

I've been coaching MBA and EMBA applicants since 2006 — which means I've worked through more admissions cycles, essay prompts, and school pivots than I can count. Poets & Quants has recognized me as a Top Consultant three times. Clients have called the work "transformative" and "the best help I never knew I needed." What I actually do: I help people find their story. Not the version they think they're supposed to tell, but the one that's true and specific and stops an admissions reader cold. That's harder than it sounds, and it's where most applications fall apart. My background is unusual for this field. I'm a Columbia MBA and a Columbia English major — and a former magazine editor. I'm also an ICF-certified leadership coach. That combination means I bring genuine writing craft and genuine coaching depth to every engagement, not just admissions strategy. My clients have come from consulting, banking, medicine, the military, entrepreneurship, filmmaking, and family business. They've gone on to HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Columbia, and programs across Europe and Asia. I work in English and Italian.
